From Guwahati, you can travel by road via Haflong, which is well connected by buses and shared taxis.Then take a vehicle to the P. Leikul Village from where you will trek to Tumjan by about 3 km (1-1.5 hours) through pine forests. A small fee of 100 rupees would be required for the maintenance of the trial.
Tumjang is best visited between October and March, when the weather is cool, pleasant, and suitable for exploring the hills and surrounding villages. During these months, the clear skies, pure air, and lush foliage make for ideal photography, trekking, and cultural immersion.
