Orang National Park: The smallest National of Assam with exciting Safaris and wildlife adventures
Experience the grandeur of Orang National Park, which is recognized for its many wetlands, man-made water bodies, and diverse animals. It is also known as the "mini Kaziranga" since the two parks share a similar topography of marshes, streams, and grasslands and are home to the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros. Safaris are the most convenient way to see the park's abundant wildlife and have a complete feel of it. The Orang Tribe previously populated the area where the park now stands. Many man-made water bodies in the park are thought to have been created by tribals. The tribe left out of fear of an outbreak. Not only does it have a viable population of tigers and rhinos but also of elephants, leopard, sambar, barking deer, tiger, varieties of water birds, green pigeon, gease, migratory birds etc. The anticipation of experiencing the undaunted beauty will be a spectacular experience to remember as you continue your trip. Because of its proximity to three rivers, Pachnoi, Belsiri, and Dhansiri, Orang is an important component of the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot. Orang National Park is abundant with bird species. So far, 284 resident and migratory bird species have been identified in the park. The park provides a variety of activities for visitors, including vehicle safaris, elephant safaris, and boat cruises. Jeep safaris are the most popular way to tour the park, allowing visitors to see wildlife up close. Elephant safaris are another popular choice, offering guests a unique and memorable experience. Visitors can also enjoy boat trips along the Orange River to see the stunning scenery and wildlife from a new perspective. For those who prefer to explore the park on foot, there are various trekking trails available. The trekking trails allow tourists to get up close to nature and observe the park's stunning flora and fauna.
