The easiest way to reach Bhagawati Hill is by road. Located in the scenic Chandrapur area, it’s about 35 km from the heart of Guwahati city. You can drive there via the Narengi–Chandrapur Road, which takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour. Whether you’re on a bike, in a car, or hiring a cab, the ride is smooth and offers lovely countryside views. Local buses and shared autos also run towards Chandrapur. From there, it’s a short uphill walk to reach the hilltop.

By Train

The nearest railway station to Bhagawati Hill is Thakurkuchi Railway Station, located only 2 km away. From there, you can easily catch a cab or an auto-rickshaw to reach Chandrapur, where the hill is situated. Though there’s no direct train to the hill itself, the short road journey from the station makes it a convenient option for travelers.

If you’re arriving from other parts of Guwahati, Narengi Railway Station is about 14 km away, while the main Guwahati Railway Station is approximately 24 km from the hill. All three stations are well-connected and offer smooth onward travel to your destination.

By Air

Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is the nearest airport. From here, you can book a taxi or an app-based cab to reach Bhagawati Hill. The drive takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. It’s a great chance to relax and soak in some scenic Assam views before your adventure begins.

The last part of the journey involves a short trek uphill. The path is manageable and offers scenic views, making the climb enjoyable.

Start your journey early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat. Wear comfortable footwear suitable for trekking.
