2. Monabari Tea Estate
The Monabari Tea Estate occupies the second position in the list of the largest tea gardens of Assam, having an area of 1367 hectares. It is situated in the Biswanath Chariali District of Assam. Out of the total area coverage, 1158 hectares are for tea plantations.

Earlier, before becoming a tea estate, it was used for trapping elephants. Even its name comes from that, i.e., “Hatti” means elephant and “gor” means trench. This estate produces around 2.5 lakh kilograms of CTC (Crush, Tear, and Curl) tea and Orthodox tea.

The Sapoi Tea Estate, situated in the Sonitpur District of Assam, covers an area of 1052.183 hectares. The major attraction of the Sapoi tea gardens is the Mighty Brahmaputra flowing nearby.
