Bidurbhai: The recently released Assamese movie on its way to break all records

The latest Assamese movie Bidurbhai managed to collect ₹5.11 crore within 11 days of its release and is all set to become the blockbuster of all time. 

 "Bidurbhai," which debuted on July 19, made ₹33 lakh on its first day of sales. Outside of Assam, Bidurbhai was released on July 26 in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, New Delhi, and Goa.

'Bidurbhai' had been much-awaited since the launch of its prequel web series. The release of the movie's poster already created a buzz way before the release.

Suvrat Kakoty, who also directed Sri Raghupati, proved again that he can bring life to any kind of story. It's his debut comedy film and the first satirical crime comedy in the Assamese film industry.

He introduces the audience to many elements of life through a series of incidents, some happy and some painful, that ultimately lead the characters through a wide range of feelings and experiences.

The plot focuses on four friends who plan a risky strategy to get quick money, and when the implications of their actions become evident, they have to deal with dilemmas and severe consequences.

The movie has received an overwhelming response across the state. People are not only appreciating its humor but also the delivery of dialogues and the display of an authentic picture of society.

The prominent cast includes Sumki Kachari, Pankaj Mahanta, Bolin Borah, Ujjwal Rajkhowa, and many others. With their excellent acting and comic presence, they have immensely impressed the audience.

Bidurbhai has established a new benchmark in Assamese cinema with its remarkable premiere and  box office collection. The footfall on the theater is still increasing, even in the second week.
